Introduction

Well to be honest I am unsure what I am doing right now and if it is correct or not because I have never blogged before and I am slightly nervous about it.
My name is Jennifer Rozean and I am 31 years old and I live in Clay Center, Kansas. I am happily married to my husband Jason and we have 3 kids Abigail, Ethan and Nicolas. We are always involved in some sort of sports and they get that from their father because I am more the music and art lover!!
I am going into education because my mom was a special education teacher and I observed and assisted in her class for a few years and I really enjoyed the ability to be with students of different learning abilities. I also worked as a para in the 4th and 5th grade classes for 2 years and enjoyed it. Two of my children have had IEPs and one is still on a speech IEP. I know what it is like to be the parent of a child with delays and I want to be the teacher that can sympathize and understand how children are not all the same and that they need a learning environment for that adapts to them, not them to the environment.
I am wanting to teach the 4th or 5th grade right now, but whatever is open when I am done is fine with me.
In my spare time(whats that??) I like to read, sing and draw. Right now we are remodeling the house which is going slowly, but surely.
Good luck to everyone this semester!!

  1. Hi Jennifer, I'm Amanda. I think that you are a wonderful person since you saw the need and decided to take action. Not very many people take action but you did. That is amazing that you were allowed to assist your mom with her classes. I know that experience in teaching is a blast but the thing that I loved the most about the blog is how you put your life in God's hands and not your own. Thanks for the inspiration. Hopefully, I will not become a teacher who by passes the students. Well, good luck to you in this class because like you this is my first time blogging as well and frankly I have no clue what I am doing for sure.
